Warranty
Limited Warranty
At Perimost, we are committed to the quality and craftsmanship of our products. This Limited Warranty explains what is covered, for how long, and how to request service if needed.
What This Warranty Covers
Perimost products are warranted to be free from defects in design, materials, and workmanship under normal use and proper maintenance, subject to the exclusions and limitations outlined below.
Warranty Periods
- All products: 1 year from date of purchase
- Integrated LEDs and electronics: 3 years from installation, whichever comes first
- LED bulbs: 3 years from installation, whichever comes first
- Rechargeable batteries in fixtures: 1 year
- Landscape Collection fixtures: Lifetime structural warranty; standard coverage applies for LEDs, bulbs, and living finishes
Who Is Eligible
This warranty applies to the original purchaser of the product with proof of purchase. It is not transferable except when the original buyer is a builder or contractor who installs the product in a newly constructed or remodeled residence that will be occupied by a homeowner. In that case, the warranty may transfer to the first occupant of the home.
What Perimost Will Do
If a product is found to be defective within the warranty period, Perimost will, at its sole discretion:
- Repair the product,
- Replace it with the same or a comparable item, or
- Refund or credit the purchase price if repair or replacement is not available.
Replacement parts or products may differ in finish or appearance due to natural aging or changes in manufacturing. Installation, removal, or labor costs are not covered.
What This Warranty Does Not Cover
- Damage during shipment or installation: Damage resulting from delivery, installation, assembly, mishandling, or misuse is not covered.
- Natural variation in materials: Products made from natural materials such as wood, alabaster, marble, rattan, or leather may vary in texture, color, or veining. These variations are not considered defects.
- Handcrafted elements: Many Perimost products are handmade. Subtle differences in finish, minor bubbles in glass, or irregularities are signs of craftsmanship and not considered defects.
- Living finishes: Finishes such as brass, copper, and iron are designed to age naturally. Changes in color or patina over time are expected and not covered under warranty.
- Outdoor exposure: Products exposed to humidity, UV light, pollution, and other environmental factors may fade or patina over time. This natural wear is not considered a defect.
- Coastal environments: Installations within 10 miles of a coastline are subject to corrosion and faster deterioration, even with proper care. Finish failure in these environments is not covered unless the product is coastal-rated.
- Modifications: Any alteration or customization made after delivery may void the warranty unless performed under Perimost’s supervision or by a certified professional.
- Improper installation or use: Damage caused by incorrect voltage, incompatible dimmers, improper mounting, unsupported loads, or failure to follow installation instructions is not covered.
- Unintended use: Any product used in a way not intended by Perimost is excluded from warranty coverage.
